Memorial Day 2012

We took the kids grave decorating today.  It was almost a year since Grandma Robins has passed and we all met to decorate her grave.  Rick and I showed the kids where his grandparents were buried and then we went over to my grandparents grave.  We also took a jaunt up to the Kaysville Cemetery and showed the kids my great grandparents.  I hadn't been there in over 10 years.  We also learned where Rick's Everett grandparents were buried.  More info/pics are on my genealogy blog www.weavinggenerations.blogspot.com

Field Trip

Today I joined Shyann for her first grade field trip to Hogle Zoo.  We got to ride the bus up and we had one boy (Coby) in our group.  We joined Bridger and Dayton to make a bigger group.  The weather was delightful.  It was only about 60 degrees.  The animals were very active.

TIGERS
The tigers were the most active I have seen them.  The cage with the three were pacing and pawing waiting for food.  It was more fun to see them moving than asleep.

GIRAFFES


We learned about giraffes next.  How long their tongues are, how tall when they are born, and that each giraffe has a unique pattern like our fingerprints.

The Baby Elephant!

He was so fun to watch.  He chased the baby ducks into the pool of water, stopped at the waters edge and decided to go in or not.  It was really fun to see his ears open and him play with his trunk!

Three Months

I can't believe how fast time is flying.  Alex is already three months old.  He is so much fun to have around.  He is sleeping through the night (down between 8:30 and 10 and sleeps until 6:30 and 8).  We wake up to his cute coos and giggles.  I love hearing his sweet little voice.  Alex is now smiling and loves bath time.  He enjoys being a part of everything.
