Happy Birthday

Happy Birthday Ashton!

Today my Ashton turned 4 years old. He woke up to a Lightening McQueen bike and balloons. He was even in a good mood for photos. He posed for pictures by himself and with his brother. We thought it would be fun to capture how tall he was on his birthday (40 inches on his 4th birthday)!

Rick and Miri spent hours making a number 4 cake look like a race track for Ashton's birthday. He was so excited to put his favorite cars on top to complete the cake.

We met Katie and Zac at McDonald's for lunch then went to the firetruck park to play for the afternoon. Ashton and Zac had a lot of fun sliding down the slides and driving the firetruck while stopping to pose for pictures. They even convinced me and Katie to go down the slides with them. Alex woke up for just a minute and joined in the slide fun too. It was a great way to spend a birthday.

Katie had her baby Taylor Lyn February 26, 2012. We thought it would be fun to do a photo shoot of Alex and Taylor. We spent the afternoon posing them in different blankets and props to try and capture the perfect shots. They are both so cute. It is fun to be able to have babies so close together.

One Month Old

I can't believe how fast time goes. Alex is one month old today. He has grown up so much in such a short period of time. He has been so much fun. I am very grateful he is part of our family.

Shyann's First Ballet Concert

Shyann wanted to try ballet this year. She started taking classes at Creative Arts Academy. Her first concert was the ballet Cinderella. Shyann's ballet class were the bluebirds. My princess did such a fabulous job performing. Her smile was radiant. Mom, Dad, Ashton, Alex, Grandma and Grandpa Robins, Grandma and Grandpa Everett, Raunde, Miri, Ed, Katie, Taylor, Leeann, Nancy, Sarah, Heidi, and Great-grandma Olsen were there to support Shyann. She was surprised with flowers following the performance.

Alex's Blessing Day

Today Rick blessed Alex in our ward in West Bountiful. Alex was a perfect angel. He was awake and quiet. He looked so handsome in his white blessing outfit. I am so grateful for the gospel in our life. It is a wonderful blessing to be able to be a mother and raise beautiful spirits sent from our Heavenly Father. Alex is such a wonderful addition to our family. He is such a good baby.

Afterward we had a light luncheon at Grandma Robins' house. She and Katie made this cute motorcycle diaper display for the centerpiece. We caught Alex's handprint on his first baseball to help remember the day. Then pictures of course. We are so blessed to have so many family members that live close by.
