I can't believe how fast time is flying. Alex is already three months old. He is so much fun to have around. He is sleeping through the night (down between 8:30 and 10 and sleeps until 6:30 and 8). We wake up to his cute coos and giggles. I love hearing his sweet little voice. Alex is now smiling and loves bath time. He enjoys being a part of everything.

Indexing
I have caught the indexing bug. After listening to my mom talk about how to do this I decided I could do this. Mom is the geneology consultant for her stake. She and my dad are teaching the youth how to index. I have been interested for a while but didn't fully understand it. Mom explained that it was a program that you downloaded to your computer, then you download batches (up to 10 at a time). They stay in your file for up to a week. If you don't complete them they return to the batch. I learned you can do it offline and then submit them when you can connect to the internet. Perfect for me! There are so many slow times at work indexing is a great way to take up the time. It helps me feel like I am contributing to geneology without huge time commitments researching. The big indexing project is the 1940 US Census. My mom completed one from each state in two weeks. I haven't been able to do each state, but have done one from the majority of the states. I am grateful for technology that is making it possible to share so much information all over the world to help connect families together. For those interested in indexing here is the link to the family search indexing site. www.familysearch.org/volunteer/indexing
Mother's Day
We celebrated by having a BBQ at Mom's. We all had gourmet hamburgers (made by Rick), chips, shrimp salad, pork and beans, watermelon, with brownies and ice cream for dessert. After dinner the kids played baseball, and drove the matchbox cars around the play mats. Shyann had Katie braid her hair. It was a fun evening.

Crazy how on Mother's Day we didn't get one picture of any of the mothers. Just for the record, Tina, Katie and Shauna did attend!

Two Months
Alex Porter
Look at me grow! My newborn clothes are getting tight.
I am starting to smile, laugh, and become very interested in my surroundings. My favorite toy is my turtle that I got for
Easter from Grandma Robins.
I love sitting up to see everything around me.

Easter
Looks like the Easter Bunny found the Everett Family. New flops, toys, recorders, sunglasses, toys, and stuffed bunnies for all! Eggs were hidden all throughout the house. Silly bunny!
| Egg Collectors |
After church we had a family dinner at Grandma Robins' house. Keeping with tradition there was an egg hunt for the little ones. Six plastic eggs with each child's initial on it. Shyann, Ashton, and Zac had fun hunting the yard looking for their eggs.
Grandma also has giant eggs filled with goodies. This year the kids had an egg rolling contest down the hill. Poor Zac's cracked open halfway down. His face was priceless. A look of disappointment as his treasures spilled on the grass. Ashton and Shyann laughed and giggled as they kicked and rolled down the hill.

The treasured eggs had punch balls in them. Everyone (even the big kids) blew up their ball and had a great time attacking each other. Shae and the kids ganged up on Brad and Grandpa.

Easter Pictures
I loved the kid's Easter outfits. They all coordinated so Mom and I took them to Target to get their pictures taken. I really wanted a good picture of each one of them and a group shot of all three. I tried to keep my expectations low and not stress to keep everyone calm. They morning did not start out well. Ashton was in one of his moods. He did not want to wear Sunday clothes and was not going to smile. Great. I was hoping for great moods. I got Shyann ready first. Curled her hair and told her to sit still in the rocking chair and do her reading while I got her brothers ready. Still no cooperation from Ashton. I got Alex ready. He looked so handsome I grabbed the camera and took some pictures. Ashton finally put on his clothes. No sweater vest but he would tuck his shirt in for me. Off we headed to pick up Grandma and start our adventure. The photographer at Target was great. I had her start with Ashton (hoping for a decent picture). Much to my surprise he perked right up and was ready to take pictures. He did exactly what they said and we got great shots. Shyann as always is a poser. I can't believe how much she is growing up and turning into a beautiful young lady. Alex even woke up. I was very pleased. I got what I wanted. Pictures of all three kids and several group shots of them. My original intent was the cd only but for only 50 more I got a wall portrait collage of all three kids, 5x7's to give to grandma of all three, and 10x10 collage that am framing for each grandma for mother's day.

Zac's Birthday
We went to the Castle Park in Kaysville and had a picnic lunch and play date to celebrate Zac's third birthday. Shyann was on spring break so she got to join in the fun. Grandma Robins came also and enjoyed the grandkids. The castle was huge and lots of slides and different activities. Shyann loved the monkey bars, Ashton the swing, and Zac the slide. We are so lucky to have our family close by so we can play together!
